Warehouse Equipment FAQs

1) What types of warehouse equipment do you offer?

We offer an extensive selection of manual and powered pallet trucks, stacker trucks, reach trucks as well as scissor lifts, cherry pickers, and other access platforms. Our range is designed to meet all your transport needs, from narrow aisles to double loading. Each type of truck comes with its own unique features for maximum efficiency and reliability.

2) What are the advantages of using a powered pallet truck?

Powered pallet trucks provide an efficient way to move goods around the warehouse or other areas safely and quickly. They typically have enough power to lift heavier loads than those moved manually, making them highly valuable for warehouses with heavier stock items.

3) How do stacker trucks work?

Stacker trucks are designed to manoeuvre in tight spaces while still being able to carry heavier loads than traditional pallet jacks and hand carts. They feature ergonomic design elements like adjustable forks or tines that can be adjusted according to the size of the load, as well as a variety of control options such as handlebar controls or foot pedals that make operating the machine easier. Additionally, they usually come with additional safety features such as emergency stops and warning lights for added security when operating in a busy working environment.

4) What makes reach trucks a good choice for warehouse equipment?

Reach trucks offer high levels of productivity and reliability thanks to their simple but comfortable operation environment. Features such as enhanced visibility, easy manoeuvrability and adjustable height settings make them ideal for warehouses with limited space but still needing access to higher shelves or racks out-of-reach from other machines. Additionally, many reach trucks are equipped with side shifters which allow operators to move lateral distances quickly without having to reposition the entire mast assembly as well as extendable forks that allow operators to handle larger products with ease.

5) How can I be sure that my warehouse equipment is safe to use?

All of the warehouse equipment we stock is tested to meet the highest safety and performance standards.

6) What is a scissor lift?

Scissor lifts are a type of access platform used to work at height. These machines use interlocking, telescoping arms that move together in a scissoring motion to raise and lower the platform. They offer an economical and efficient way to reach higher levels without needing scaffolding or other structures. Scissor lifts can be found in many warehouses as they provide an easy way to move goods up and down while still maintaining a safe working environment.

7) What is the difference between cherry pickers and access platforms?

Cherry pickers are designed specifically for reaching heights such as those found on tall warehouse shelves or racking systems. These machines feature an extendable arm with either a basket or pallet attached, allowing operators to pick up items from higher shelves or racks. Access platforms, on the other hand, are designed to provide access to heights but can also be equipped with attachments such as pallet forks or a basket. This makes them suitable for applications that require both extended reach and increased lift capacity at height.
