Short Term Hire Costs for a Cherry Picker

Our hire fleet includes a range of cherry pickers, articulated boom lifts and other types of access platforms. The JLG 450AJ articulated boom lift is a great example (as shown in the photo below). It is one of the most common types of cherry pickers that we hire. Versatile, to be used indoors or outdoors. Yet also relatively compact with a closed height of just under 2.3m and closed width of 2.34m. The platform height will go up to 13.72m allowing work to be carried out up to 15.72m up from the ground. Diesel powered it will take loads of up to 227kg on a platform 0.76m x 1.83m in size.

What’s Included in the Price

  • All maintenance, breakdowns and servicing is included
  • Damage is not included
  • These prices are based on self-drive.
  • Exceptional levels of customer service. It is hard to put a price on this but it is reflected in the level of repeat customers who value the reliability of our service as well as our competitive prices.

Cost may vary significantly from the above depending on a variety of factors. We are happy to quote for longer term hires.

Factors Affecting Hire Costs

Equipment availability is always a big factor. If it is a quiet time and the equipment is available then we are naturally keen to put together a very competitive quote. If your project dates are flexible then we may have more flexibility on price.

The environment in which the cherry picker is going to be used and the level of use affects the level of wear and tear and so the overall price of hire.

Obviously the length of hire, distance of delivery are significant factors. As are the over all equipment requirements. For example is it is a regular requirement or a one off contract? Is other equipment is required on the same site, project or account?
